Ralph Klein Legacy Park, Shepard Wetland Environmental Education Centre was created is to improve the quality of the storm water currently entering the Bow River from the south east quadrant of the city. The facility is centered around environmental learning, teaching and training to foster a sense of sustainable stewardship to the citizens of Calgary and Calgary School Boards. The project received a LEED gold certificate for sustainable design and construction.
